The Beautiful Souls. Site-Specific Immersive Performance. 2021. Haus der Statistik. Berlin (DE)
The Beautiful Souls is the third of an ongoing series that explores symbolic violence and the body as a site of resistance in crisis. The first “A Prelude to the Last” (2018) questioned potentialities of the falling body to open empathy and invoke action among strangers. “Dance Party (the apocalypse is disappointing)” (2019), the second iteration addressed psycho-corporeal (imaginary) violence as a means to decode ideologies of the body and reinvent ways of being together. This third and most recent work The Beautiful Souls takes as its focus the politics of perception and the violence of the encounter with the Other.
